You will serve as a Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Manager in the Naval Undersea Warfare Center NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. This position is equivalent to the GS-13/14 level.

Duties

You will manage command process improvement activities and process directives. You will ensure NUWC Division, Keyport leadership and workforce are trained. You will maintain Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) curriculum, mentoring department Black Belts and Green Belts, and executing, capturing and reporting process improvement activity and results. You will be assigned Command value streams to execute process improvement events using the Lean Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints (TOC) methods and tools. You will coordinate command project/event schedule and planning with leadership in support of the Strategic Plan and Department initiatives. You will apply Lean, TOC, and Six Sigma principles to improve quality, increase productivity, enhance customer satisfaction, and reduce operating costs. You will provide forward-looking approaches to the employment of all disciplines, event prioritization, and return on investment calculations.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating and leading process improvement efforts to enhance productivity and quality, for alignment with organizational objectives.
