You will serve as an Industrial Specialist in the Operations Branch of the Prototype, Manufacturing, and Test Department of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

Duties

You will utilize the Department's Manufacturing Resource Planning System and continually participate in teams to monitor and analyze program progresses and expenditures for conformance with established plans and customer requirements. You will participate in source selections and pre-award surveys and follow supervision's recommendation of adequacy of production management, production resources, production engineering, and manufacturing planning. You will solicit quotes and pay for materials using a government purchase card while keeping informed of available goods and services by checking commercial catalogs, contact files, and listings of firms offering particular goods and services.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Utilizing the division's Manufacturing Resource Planning System and continually participating in teams to monitor and analyze program progresses and expenditures for conformance with established plans and customer requirements; (2) Participating in source selections and pre-award surveys and following supervision's recommendation of adequacy of production management, production resources, production engineering, and manufacturing planning; and (3) Soliciting quotes and paying for materials using a government purchase card while keeping informed of available goods and services by checking commercial catalogs, contact files, and listings of firms offering particular goods and services. GS-09 Education Requirements:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
