The primary purpose of this position: To exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the 690th Network Support Squadron (690 NSS), Network Services Flight at Lackland AFB. *** Salary ranges include local market supplements *** The organizational location of this position is: 690th Network Support Group (690 NSG), 690 NSS, Lackland AFB, Texas.

Duties

DUTY 1: Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the 690 NSS Network Services Flight Plans Element. DUTY 2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. DUTY 3: Represents the 690 NSS with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. DUTY 4: Functions as a senior technical advisor on contract and budget activities.

Qualifications

This is a GG-13 position in the Cyber Excepted Service (CES). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. NOTE: You must meet both the Basic Qualifications and Specialized Experience requirements stated below: Education: All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: -This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations. Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternative for filling of the position during an emergency are not available. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
