This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs, Phoenix Director's Office. The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the Director and Assistant Directors thorough project management and analysis of regional office initiatives.
Duties
Provide support to the Director and Assistant Directors thorough project management
and analysis of regional office initiatives.
Provides qualitative and quantitative assessments of the wide range of Division operations.
Prepares for the division leadership’s review and signature: assorted memorandums, letters,
division bulletins, and other written communications.
Assists others in preparing appropriate certificates/awards or letters of appreciation for staff,
community individuals, and groups who are supportive of mission and programs.
Identifies opportunities to participate in community activities that enhance the public image
of the VA, and specifically, the Regional Office.
Provides support to divisional management on significant issues that include, but are not
limited to policies, Division goals and objectives, internal controls, and the preparation of
priority reports.
Tracks Division progress with respect to goals and facilitates work or program reviews to improve
Division results.

Specialized Experience:
GS-12: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-11) in the federal service. Specialized experience is work experience that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as: (1) Utilizing qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze data. (2) Evaluating, and measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of organizational operations. (3) Applying communication techniques sufficient to present plans and proposals. (4) Interpret regulatory, policy, and procedural requirements to provide guidance on personnel management matters and problems.
