Duties

Performing studies and evaluations on factors affecting the logistic supportability of materiel developers, users and higher authorities. Development of new PSA and LPD procedures and capabilities. Development and maintenance of Extensible Markup Language (XML) Schema Definitions to continually enhance LPD data exchange requirements. Provide technical assistance to software developers and users during the implementation of LPD schemas. Assist in the development and maintenance of various foreign and domestic Government and international Non-Government PSA standards, specifications, policy, guidance, and procedures Participates in and provides Army representation to the SAE Life Cycle Logistics Supportability Committee (LCLS) and other related DoD, industry and international standardization development organizations.

Requirements

  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Incumbent is required to travel away from the duty station (TDY) 25% of the time.
  • Incumbent must possess, obtain and maintain Level III Acquisition Certification in Life Cycle Logistics within 4 years of entrance on duty.

Qualifications

This is a Defense Acquisition Workforce (AWF) position. The employee must meet the DoDI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the Career Category/Functional Area and the Career Level Certification assigned on the sequenced position Conditions of Employment data fields in the header of the PD/PRD. Experience supporting the development, maintenance, and training of Army Logistics standards in the areas of Product Support Analysis (PSA), Logistics Product Data (LPD), in compliance with related Army Material Command (AMC), Army, DoD, industry, and international Standardization program and requirements documents. (2). Experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the domains of Integrated Product Support (IPS), LPD, Total Life Cycle Systems Management (TLCSM), and Defense System Acquisition. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral CommunicationProduct Support ManagementTechnical CompetenceTechnical DataWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
