You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the TECHNICAL DIVISION (SP20), LAUNCHER BRANCH (SP22) of STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS.
Duties
You will establish sound logistics, maintenance, and procurement plans to ensure Operational Support for the life of the SSBN SWS Launcher Subsystem Programs.
You will maintain and improve programs by monitoring and analyzing performance and testing data and problem reports from production and Fleet deployment.
You will suggest necessary action to correct deficiencies in the Fleet, field or in production and recommend adjustments to operational support requirements and methodologies.
You will support the SSP planning, programming, and budgeting process for their assigned program area.
You will lead investigations into the resolution of fleet problems with the Launcher Subsystem.
You will work with SP22support team, prime contractors and government agencies, to investigate, resolve and implement solutions for fleet hardware anomalies and procedural problems.
You will manage the planning, evaluation and execution of Launcher Subystem installations, test and repair during submarine shipyard availabilities.
You will be responsible for the overall program plans and lifecycle management of the assigned launcher subsystem program areas.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-3 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating alternative solutions of identified problems and direct corrective action in the planning, analysis, and evaluation of efforts related to the life cycle support of Launcher Subsystem equipment.
