Duties

This position provides you the opportunity to use your knowledge and experience analyzing and advising management on organizational aspects of the Sector's mission in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess complex programs processes and systems. This position starts at a salary of $88,525.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $115,079.00 (GS-12, Step 10) with promotion potential to $115,079.00 (GS-12 Step 10). The Management and Program Analyst is responsible for directing, implementing, coordinating and overseeing a major segment of Sector administrative programs by planning, conducting and participating in special studies, providing advice to managers and assistance to offices. Duties and responsibilities include: Overseeing budget and equipment accountability; assisting in the development of objectives, goals and priorities of personnel; providing feedback, direction and guidance to enhance effectiveness of operations with the Sector Providing budgetary, acquisition and contract assistance to support the primary objectives and goals to management; assisting in the coordination of activities and providing analytical support on problem definitions, planning methodologies, policy and procedures Tracking budgets, cost projections, and usage analysis utilizing various programs to provide management current data; ensuring compliance with new and revised directives, policies and standard operating procedures Planning, developing and assisting with planning management through briefings, presentations, and conferences; ensuring accurate and appropriately concise and timely information is available to management; providing detailed reports from various programs to management

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of administrative and technical programs Conducting studies, analyzing findings and making recommendations on substantive operating programs Preparing project papers and staff reports and organizing briefings to managers to encourage understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations Developing guidance on techniques for management and methods improvement; analyzing and advising on proposed reorganizations or realignment of functions; and developing manuals and directives covering the administrative aspects of field station operations NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible.
