Duties
The Radiological Laboratory Section, Laboratory Services, Occupational and Environmental Health Department, USAFSAM, seeks to hire a Supervisory Senior Health Physicist, DR-1306-03, to lead the Radiological Laboratory Branch.
Balances workload and tasks among team members and builds team consensus
Interviews, selects, trains, supervises, mentors, and develops all team members, guiding their technical efforts with accountability for focus and quality.
Develops and recommends technical operations policies, processes, and systems.
Researches, interprets, analyzes, and applies DoD, DHA, USAF, and AFRL local regulatory guidance and policy directives pertaining to operations.

- The duty location is Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
1. Degree: natural science or engineering that included at least 30 semester hours in health physics, engineering, radiological science, chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics, and/or calculus.
OR
2. Combination of education and experience -- courses as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or other education; or certification as a health physicist by the American Board of Health Physics, plus appropriate experience and other education that provided an understanding of sciences applicable to health physics comparable to that described in paragraph A.
To qualify for this position, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DR-02 (GS-13) broadband. Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
