About the Position: This position is a Training Specialist for the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Material Readiness Division/ 627th Logistics Readiness Squadron located at the McChord Field, Tacoma, Washington.
Duties
Coordinate all plans, regulatory documentation, and operational actions necessary to establish and maintain a progressive and continuous Training Aids and Devices, in order to meet requirements for training support.
Provide staff assistance on matters pertaining to planning and coordinating training requirements.
Monitor and provide guidance and assist in the organization, conduct, administration and recording of training in preparation for mandatory training requirements.
Organize, plans, and provide training advice/guidance designing courses and tests.
Oversee staff preparation for assigned training objectives and ensures they are prepared for execution of tasks by ensuring instructional materials, and systems are present and operational.
Prepare charts, graphs, and other visual displays for presentations at training briefing.
Responsible for researching and maintaining current data and information on doctrine, training techniques and utilization strategies for assigned training enablers.
Prepare organization Staff Assistance Visits (SAV) reports, and follow up on any pending items and submits irresolvable issues to Base Training Manager.
Requirements

- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a secret security level clearance.
- This position may require to travel (TDY) up to 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes providing staff assistance on matters pertaining to planning and coordinating with other personnel/organization to support training requirements and equipment requirements; assisting in managing day-to-day operations of an organization Training Program; review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, Education, Education, Business or a related field.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
