About the Position: This position is with USAJFK Special Warfare Center & School 2ND SPECIAL WARFARE TRNG GROUP (ABN) 6TH BATTALION Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.

Duties

Serves as the primary instructor for two major blocks of classified instruction on intelligence and advanced special operations subjects. Provide advice on all counterintelligence/OPSEC related queries and problems for the Advanced Special Operations Techniques (ASOT) Course. Presents classroom instruction on OPSEC material. Plans, coordinates and conducts off post practical exercises that support the platform instruction. Develops ASOT doctrine and materials for courses covering advanced intelligence operations for Special Operations Forces (SOF). Monitors and evaluates student progress in courses in advanced technical systems related to Advanced Special Operations Techniques (ASOT).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Top-secret clearance with SCI will be required.
  • Position requires screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to work evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Employee is required to go TDY up to 60% of the time to support course training exercise and to support the professional development plan as determined by the command.
  • Position requires graduation from the Advanced Special Operations Techniques Course (ASOTC), or USG equivalent, and relevant operational experience within the last five years from hiring.
  • Must undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph screening prior to the appointment and remain current throughout employment.
  • Position requires employee to be physically able to walk up to four kilometers with twenty pounds of equipment in uneven terrain, and undergo an annual physical assessment limited explicitly to walking four kilometers with twenty pounds of equipment.
  • A one-year probation may be required.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
