About the Position: Serves as a Regulatory Specialist in a Corps of Engineers District Office Regulatory Functions Program with responsibility to processes routine or moderate scale permit applications,investigate alleged violations of Federal regulations governing the use of the nation's waters which are under the jurisdiction of the Corps of Engineers, and violations which have the potential of being environmentally sensitive.
Duties
Processes routine or moderate scale permit applications.
Investigate alleged violations of Federal regulations governing the use of the nation's waters which are under the jurisdiction of the Corps of Engineers, and violations which have the potential of being environmentally sensitive.
Conducts field investigations to determine extent of Federal jurisdiction and presence of wetlands/Waters of the US.
Reviews permit applications and supplemental material submitted with application to insure completeness and clarity of proposed work descriptions.
Performs data entry in Regulatory Program databases.
Prepares decision documents for Department of the Army permits to include routine and moderately non-routine actions

Specialized Experience: GS-07
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Reviewing permit applications, preparing reports with recommendation for changes, elimination, or improvement of program plans.
Specialized Experience: GS-09
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Reviewing permit application documentation for completeness; Performing field inspection to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
