You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Advanced Technology Team of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will serve as the acknowledged expert for logistics support related to in-service support and acquisition tasks for the assigned platform and act as a representative of the platform. You will work closely with system engineering and the logistics team as the system design matures as a result of logistical reviews and continually monitor the design for its supportability attributes. You will act as the program logistics/maintenance planning and management representative at design reviews, program reviews, contract reviews, briefings, and budget hearings. You will establish and maintain plans to meet program Cost Wise Readiness and Total Ownership Cost goals and objectives while leading the logistics program efforts of all Integrated Logistics Support personnel within the organization. You will develop and brief all levels of leadership to include leaders at Fleet Readiness Center East, Commander Fleet Readiness Centers, Naval Air Systems Command and other federal agencies. You will understand the facility requirements for aviation maintenance to include aviation depots and forward deployed/expeditionary aircraft maintenance support.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Exercising independent decision making in areas of program logistics support as delegated by the Assistant Program Manager Logistics (APML), Fleet Support Team Lead and Senior Team Lead, ensuring that key performance parameters for supportability are fully supported while minimizing total aircraft program operating costs; (2) Developing supporting data and providing comprehensive logistics planning information, logistics plans, recommendations, impact statements and performance criteria to Naval Air Systems Command staff to include APML, Integrated Product Team Leads and other acquisition managers; (3) Planning and executing logistics support consistent with established maintenance policy guidelines to achieve readiness, supportability and affordability goals and objectives; (4) Assessing program documentation, system designs, and aircraft system interfaces for logistics considerations and generating reviews and providing input to logistics documentation for assigned systems; and (5) Conducting investigations and site visits to identify and resolve aircraft supportability problems and identifying aircraft Integrated Logistics Support program planning and execution problems???????.
