As a Supervisory Single Family Housing Specialist, you will:
Develop, implement and/or recommend to the Director, Quality Assurance Division, operating procedures and systems, staffing patterns, and budget required to carry out a cost effective and efficient risk management program through the monitoring of program participants.
Review and evaluate work of subordinates to determine whether stated objectives are met; advises and trains staff regarding program objectives.
Provide technical direction and supervision to staff to assure compliance with established procedures, policies and prescribed management and operating techniques.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Monitoring and conducting quality control reviews of loan underwriting and/or loss mitigation for Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Single-Family Housing mortgage loans; AND
Analyzing risk assessments to make determinations regarding acceptability of risk level based on FHA regulations; AND
Managing a team of employees, providing technical direction, and monitoring their progress towards achieving program goals and objectives.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
