You will serve as a Workforce Training and Development Specialist in the Department of the Navy Office of the Chief of Information (CHINFO) of WASHINGTON DC.

Duties
You will plan and execute human capital programs aimed at helping hiring managers recruit, reward, engage, develop, and retain an agile, highly skilled and diverse public affairs workforce.
You will evaluate public affairs workforce and advise on structure, composition of functional specialties, performance management, and workforce initiatives to ensure effectiveness of civilian career management at all command levels.
You will plan, develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to expand public affairs professionals’ training and educational opportunities.
You will perform data analysis of career and training programs to better align supply of public affairs professionals with future demand.
You will establish and maintain effective working relationships with SMEs, both internal and external to government, to create new or unique training opportunities for civilians.
Requirements

- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Assessing professional development programs and systems such as training and education programs, career development programs, or lifecycle management programs; identifying needed competencies and overseeing initiatives to improve those competencies through training, education, or professional development; AND working with public affairs or communication related policies and processes.
