Duties
The Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) is based at NIST and its mission is to enhance the productivity and technological performance of U.S. manufacturing. MEP is a public-private partnership. Through its collaborations at the federal, state and local level, MEP Centers work with manufacturers to develop new products and customers, expand and diversify markets, adopt new technology, and enhance value within supply chains. The MEP Program serves as a bridge to other organizations and federal research labs that share a passion for enhancing the manufacturing community.
If hired as a Management and Program Analyst for the MEP Group, your duties will include:
Developing and managing programs to build awareness, maintain joint partnerships, and strengthen industrial extension services with industry leaders, trade associations, state economic development agencies, other Federal agencies, and non-Federal organizations
Strengthening and empowering MEP centers and their clients (small manufacturers)
Fostering interagency relationships leading to MOUs or additional resources
Identifying and leading partnerships with industry, trade associations, state & local government, economic development organizations, Manufacturing USA institute(s), universities, and/or other research organizations
Collaborating and empowering the MEPNN (51 MEP Centers located in all 50 states and Puerto Rico, the MEP Advisory Board, MEP Center boards, and state stakeholders across U.S.).

- Merit applicants must meet time-in-grade/band requirements, as applicable
- Completion of Confidential Financial Disclosure, Form OGE-450

Qualifications
Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level (ZA-III for NIST). Specialized experience is defined as:
Experience advancing manufacturing (in sectors such as semiconductors, aerospace, defense, biomanufacturing, clean energy, or medical devices) within a consortium or technology innovation ecosystem to increase performance, capacity for growth, and economic development
Experience collaborating with and coaching diverse groups such as government agencies, universities, manufacturing institutes, federal laboratories, and private companies
Experience leading national initiatives
