The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Deputy Director, Network Operations and Maintenance, and Chief Advisor to the commander for the Air Force Information Network (AFIN), NIPRNet and SIPRNet (168 Active/Guard/Reserve Bases/Sites and 11 Major Commands).
Duties
DUTY 1: Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the 26th Network Operations Squadron. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and network operations objectives.
DUTY 2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors.
DUTY 3: Represents 26 NOS with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with enterprise customers, 26 COG and 67 CW senior leaders, MAJCOMs, Numbered Air Forces (NAF), Combat Air Forces (CAF), Air Staff, AF Office of Special Investigation (AFOSI), AF Research Lab (AFRL), Intelligence Community, Joint Staff, and Combatant Commands (COCOM).
DUTY 4: Performs as 26 NOS Senior AF/Joint Program Integrator. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of 26 NOS Joint Operations Integration.
DUTY 5: Serves as MAJCOM Liaison for 26 NOS Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) Weapon System. Command focal point for AFINC mission planning and control.

Qualifications
This is a GG-14 position in the Cyber Excepted Service (CES). The GG-14 duties for the "Supervision/Management" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Specialized Experience:
Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge to oversee the management of networks and maintenance operations for multiple DOD wide mission objectives. The ability to conduct management oversight and provide guidance and direction to administer and provide AF enterprise network service delivery, network boundary operations and defensive cyberspace operations. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private Sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of cyber systems' operational capability and functionality and AF Network Operation systems, capabilities and limitations of advanced network equipment (e.g., routers, switches, bridges, gateways, firewalls, proxy services, mail relay services, active directory, messaging and application servers).
2. Knowledge of and extensive experience in Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence managing enterprise services to include messaging, directory services, and boundary management (minimum seven years desired).
3. Knowledge in and experience in the performance as a Senior Contract Officer Representative (SCOR) to identify, advocate, and manage third party contracts dealing with enterprise core services, facilities, personnel, funding, equipment, etc.
4. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
6. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. In addition the ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
