About the Position: This is a Project Manager, GS-0301-9/11/12 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division (NWD), Omaha District, Planning, Programs & Project Management Division.

Duties

Assure the overall management, control, coordination and execution of assigned projects. Participate in District programming decisions affecting long- and short-range courses of action for assigned projects. Coordinate planning, design, cost-engineering, construction and environmental restoration, etc., for engineering or planning projects of substantial scope and complexity. Control and manage project milestones and budgets from planning through construction and initial operations. Monitor progress, measure performance and take necessary corrective action to maintain agreed-upon schedule and cost.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. [remove LL.M., if unrelated] in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
