About the Position: Serves as the Division Chief for the Doctrine and Training Division of the Prevention Force Modernization Proponent (PFMP) with roles and responsibilities integrating prevention efforts to reduce harmful behaviors such as of Sexual Assault, Harassment, Suicide, Domestic Abuse, Child Abuse, and Retaliation.

Duties

As a Doctrine Manager (Prevention), you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list: Plan, organize, and oversee doctrine and training development for the entire prevention of harmful behavior portfolio for the Army enterprise. Perform the full range of supervisory personnel management functions. Serve as the subject matter expert and advisor on the prevention of harmful behaviors and the science behind prevention for the Director, Prevention Force Modernization Proponent (PFMP). Develop and assess appropriate prevention doctrine and doctrine-like products (Army Doctrine Publications, Field Manuals, and Army Techniques Publications), training (individual and unit) and leader development products for the Total Force Army. Formulate goals, plans, policies, procedures and work plans for the PFMPs development of integrated Army prevention doctrine, training, leader development, incorporating emerging tech, and emerging prevention science into current and future opns.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 25% of the time.
  • One year probationary period may be required if not previously completed.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: LeadershipOral CommunicationOrganizational DevelopmentPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
