Duties
You will serve as the Deputy for one of the organization’s branches, serving under the Branch Head and contributing in the overall branch management, leadership, and decision-making activities.
You will plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and supervise the work of employees involved in the life cycle management processes related to major DOD and/or USMC information systems.
You will develop program and budget requirements, justifications, and documentation to meet all mandatory DOD Life Cycle Management (LCM) and Financial Management regulatory requirements.
You will organize staffing requirements for the branch you are assigned to include conducting interviews.
You will develop and review organizational policies and plans.
You will consult with subordinate supervisors and team leaders, and develop performance standards and major performance objectives.
You will ensure performance standards are equitable and that all subordinates receive timely performance feedback (in accordance with USMC regulation and/or any applicable negotiated agreement) and annual performance ratings.
You will take corrective action, as necessary, to ensure financial management requirements and stated objectives are met.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 802 IT Project Manager, proficiency level basic the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Develops detailed project plans, tasks, schedules and identifies milestone dates to accomplish objectives; coordinates with senior technical personnel to ensure architecture is compliant with regulatory policies, software standards and user requirements; applies technical knowledge to ensure project schedules and objectives are accomplished with established milestones; responsible for cost estimating; recommends business process changes in response to evolving circumstances, resources, or objectives and confirms deadlines and priorities are met; provides feedback on project statuses and significant developments to leadership and stakeholders. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
