Duties

- Performs as the command intelligence training functional area manager (FAM) and command Intelligence Personnel Training Program (CIPTP) manager. - Develops training requirements and coordinates Instructional System Design (ISD) workshops for AMC intelligence formal training units (IFTU), and other command advanced formal intelligence training. - In coordination with command Intelligence Force Managers, advises on development of command position on intelligence personnel training issues. - Manages operation of the AMC intelligence training sites, and their logical follow-ons. - Functions as the Command Manager for the Intelligence Civilian Career Development Program (ICCDP).

  • Formal training course/instructor experience is desired.
  • Graduation from Intelligence Weapons Instructor Course (IWIC), or an Air Force accredited instructor course is highly desired.

Qualifications

This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of the entire intelligence cycle, including collection, processing, dissemination, feedback mechanisms, and the specific implementation of each phase of the cycle within each command mobility unit, between command headquarters and mobility units, and between command and joint and national level agencies. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. AND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the entire intelligence cycle, including collection, processing, dissemination, feedback mechanisms, and the specific implementation of each phase of the cycle within each command mobility unit, between command headquarters and mobility units, and between command and joint and national level agencies. 2. Knowledge of assigned forces, unit intelligence structures and operations, associated intelligence resources and the roles, functions, and relationships between primary JCS, service, and joint command intelligence training agencies to support identifying most effective and efficient methods of satisfying command and unit training requirements; and knowledge of air mobility doctrine, operations, requirements, command and control, and procedures. 3. Knowledge of general principles concerning adult learning theory and practices and knowledge of Air Force instructional system development (ISO) and other training development principles and methods. 4. Knowledge of current office automation software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe programs. 5. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to meet changing deadlines, to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and decision-making. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and produce authoritative reports, position papers, and briefings that are responsive to the needs of commanders/senior management officials; presenting clear and concise findings; effectively advocating for a position; and interface effectively with individuals and commanders/senior management officials. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. Key: The duties of this position meets all requirements as a category 4 designation and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively. This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and CAN NOT become a member of the Ready Reserve. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
