You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN (SATCOM) in the Electronics Maintenance Department, SATCOM Division of NAVAL COMP TELCOM AREA WESTPAC.
Duties
You will serve as the senior Electronics Technician for the N63 SATCOM Division, SATCOM Facility, and military personnel assigned.
You will function as the Navy 3M Work Center Supervisor (WCS) in accordance with the Navy 3M Maintenance Manual for work center BCHF.
You will prepare reports on equipment activities in assigned areas and coordinate maintenance tasks and equipment down time with other departments and NCTS Guam customers.
You will serve as a Leader of three or more Electronics Technicians, GG-09, and assigned military personnel engaged in the overall maintenance and repair of Super High Frequency, Extremely High Frequency, and ancillary communications equipment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
Qualifications
Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by:
Possessing technical knowledge of electronics communications equipment and systems to solve complex problems.
Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on electronic test equipment, Super High Frequency (SHF) and Extremely High Frequency (EHF) equipment, systems, antennas, antenna structures, and ancillary equipment.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing to summarize data and information clearly and concisely to effectively exchange information within and outside of an organization.
This position is within the Work Category Technical and Admin Support at Work Level II, Series and Grade GG-10.
