You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the Electronic Maintenance, Facilities, and Supply, SATCOM Maintenance Division of NAVAL COMP TELCOM AREA WESTPAC.
Duties
You will plan, manage, and direct preventive and corrective maintenance efforts on telecommuncation equipment while evaluating the process used to monitor the efficiency and correctives of maintenance being conducted.
You will prepare reports on communication equipment activities in assigned areas and coordinate maintenance tasks and equipment down time with the Communication Watch Officer and NCTS Guam customers.
You will provide guidance on operating, tuning, testing, aligning, inspecting, patching, and configuring electronics communications equipment to meet operational requirements.
You will direct and supervise maintenance division operations, which include civilian and military electronics technicians.
You will provide general guidance, approve leave, participate in candidate interviews and make recommendations for selection of employees, promote and further the EEO program ensuring equal treatment of all subordinates.
You will be responsible for providing direct oversight in personnel management (time and pay) and disciplinary actions for BCHA and BCHE work centers.
You will fill in as required when the Deputy Department Head is unavailable in the administration of SLDCADA time and pay management for personnel within the N4/N6 department.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Supervision and Maintenance, level II within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications
Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: providing telecommunications network operations and information maintenance support on electronic communications and ancillary equipment, and providing technical assistance and guidance to personnel on troubleshooting and repair of communications equipment.
This position is within the Work Category Supervision and Maintenance at Work Level II, Series and Grade GG-12.
