You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER in the Program Executive Officer, Undersea Warfare Systems (PEO UWS), In-Service Submarines (392) of PEO SSN.

Duties

You will serve as the PMS392 Lead Liaison Action Officer with the AUKUS Program and be responsible for the following: You will serve as a central point of contact within PMS392 and will proactively support the AUKUS Phase 2 Leadership team. You will address complex inquiries regarding U.S. submarine sustainment, maintenance, and modernization to support delivery of VIRGINIA Class Submarines to Australia. You will identify requirements and develop processes to support maintenance, modernization, and certification of submarines for the AUKUS program. You will assist in establishing a Planning Yard or similar capability for AUKUS to ensure timely delivery and execution of sustainment efforts. You will develop issue papers or other documents to support AUKUS efforts by PMS392. You will assist in engagement with key stakeholders across U.S. Navy and Industry to support overall AUKUS effort. You will supervise employees and establish work assignments, set priorities, and ensure the timely performance of satisfactory work efforts. You will maintain awareness of overall organizational activities and advise senior PMS392 leadership as needed. You will identify and prioritize actions requiring final decision-making authority of the senior leadership. You will liaise regularly with the PMS392 senior leadership on programmatic and administrative issues to ensure internal and external stakeholder guidance, direction, and assignments are effectively executed.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading a department-level team in the development of maintenance, modernization, and sustainment of submarines (e.g., cost, performance, and schedule).
