Duties
Identifying and improving productivity efficiencies and processes through the use of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) tools.
Developing and executing program policy guidance, communicating lean implementation efforts, tracking and reporting lean events and results, and training personnel in lean efforts.
Assisting in the planning and execution of Value Stream Analysis and Mapping.
Reporting tangible cost benefits and Return on Investment (ROI) results gained from implementation of those process improvements.
Assisting and mentoring new Lean Six Sigma Green Belts during their assigned Lean Six Sigma events through to project completion.
Instructing Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training, as well as assisting with the development of and conducting Lean Six Sigma/Continuous Process Improvement awareness courses and other specialized Continuous Process Improvement training as required.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Lean Six Sigma Program Analyst, GS-0301-13 your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under the other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Experience improving process efficiencies across a large organization.
Experience training employees involved in Lean Six Sigma programs, activities, and efforts.
Collecting and analyzing data and determining appropriate improvement strategy; managing multiple projects.
A validated Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Black Belt certification or better (from DoD or equivalent sources) is preferred, but not required.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
