About the Position: This position is to support the organization in its data quality improvement initiatives, which includes responsibility for the Data Quality Management Control Program (DQMCP) program. This position also supports the organization in its internal control initiatives which includes responsibility for the Managers' Internal Control Program (MICP).
Duties
Focus on the completion of checklists and audits regarding access, security, privacy, standards, and the coordination of automated workload generated data.
Complete the monthly Data Quality Management Control (DQMC) and other data quality program reporting requirements.
Develops and implements programs and techniques to improve data quality business practices.
Plans and conducts statistical analyses and studies concerning the trends and impact of changes in clinical and workload data.
Analyze, interpret, and summarize a variety of work processes performed by personnel in functionally different but interrelated operations using computer systems impacting data quality.
Manage, and control various applications and ad hoc reports for data capture and data quality improvement activities relating to a wide range of source data collection and information systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- You may be required to do Travel (TDY) outside of the commuting area up to 15%.
- Immunization screening is required.

Specialized Experience GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting a Data Quality team with gathering and compiling data and prepare data quality reports via from various health electronic programs such as Composite Health Care System (CHCS)/ Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS) for the quality of business practices of a health care facility. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management, Statistics/Data, Human Resource, Health Information Management or Health Care Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
