You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SEXUAL ASSAULT RESPONSE COORDINATOR (SAR WF) in the Marine Forces Reserve, SAPR IRC of MARFORRES NOLA.

Duties

You will coordinate response activities in the event of a sexual assault report. You will ensure victims are receiving direct and indirect services to receive guidance and emotional support during administrative, medical, investigative, and legal procedures. You will ensure sexual assault victims are properly advised of their options for restricted and un-restricted reporting. You will provide leadership with non-identifying person information within 24 hours of a restricted report of sexual assault. You will evaluate confidentiality and reporting requirements that could cause inappropriate release or disclosure of victim's identity and/or personal information. You will oversee marketing of SAPR program; promote SAPR program and publicize SAPR initiatives.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • In accordance with DoDI 6495.03: Must be able to obtain and maintain D-SAACP certification.
  • Travel outside of local area estimated 10% or less.
  • In accordance with DoDI 6495.03 investigation requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to Catch a Serial Offender (CATCH) Program, Defense Sexual Assault Incident Database (DSAID).
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing a Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) program; directing, sustaining and overseeing prevention and support programs and activities; providing guidance and resolution to victim advocates ensuring integration, transparency and system accountability for sexual assault awareness, prevention, response, training and victim care is achieved. Education

Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:

Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

OR

Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

OR

Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social of 5 sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
