About the Position: Serve as the Public Affairs Specialist for the Deputy Chief of Staff. This position is located in Arlington, VA.
Duties
Provide advice, assistance and direction to MACOMs and Army Public Affairs personnel worldwide on the planning and execution of information campaigns within assigned account areas.
Plan content and oversees design of multimedia communications strategies, packages, and products.
Plan, conduct, and coordinate the U.S. Army Social Media Program including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Flickr, Google+ and other social platforms as they arise.
Research, develop, plan, direct, and execute a social media outreach campaign to support telling the Army story in the effort to promote understanding of the complex range and scope of the U.S. Army.
Analyze information needs of the public and of special interest and demographic groups and develops effective methods of meeting these needs.
Serve as a consultant and advisor to the DCS, G-1/ASA M AND RA (Manpower and Reserve Affairs) on all public information (internal and external), public affairs, planning and operational matters.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: preparing strategic communications plans and products; integrating multiple media and social platforms to promote an organization's mission; and coordinate with external stakeholders to carry out communication activities.
