About the Position: Serves as the Installation Range Officer of the Fort Bliss training complex (FBTC), Fort Bliss, TX, supporting 1st Armored Division (1AD) Reserve Components, Marines, Army, Air Force and other governmental agencies.
Duties
Develops plans, policies, and procedures, and serves as the installation authority on live-fire training, range utilization, range safety, implementation of safety regulations, and range maintenance/operations.
Incumbent serves as the Fort Bliss representative for range and training facilities related actions including coordination, correspondence, briefings, conferences.
Responsible for coordination and support of Explosive, Ordinance, and Demolition (EOD) survey teams for clearance operations of future construction site verification.
Represents ranges at meetings concerning construction and improvement to Fort Bliss roads, highways, power lines, environmental, and endangered species.
Manages the range and training land inspection program responsible for reporting any shortcomings in maintenance for range and training land facilities.
