Duties
This position is located under the Office of Public and Government Affairs, Information and Privacy Governance Division in Washington, District of Columbia.
Qualifications
To qualify for 13, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12.
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Examples of specialized experience include:
Utilizing fact-finding and investigative techniques to conduct studies; and
Applying FOIA principles to data collection, analysis and reporting program-related data; and
Ensuring compliance and effectiveness with FOIA regulations in managing information requests; and
Utilizing FOIA-related systems to generate reports and information used to make decisions and evaluate the program; and
Negotiating for acceptance and implementation of FOIA recommendations.
Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
