You will serve as an ASSISTANT PATIENT ADMINISTRATION OFFICER in the Operational Force Readiness of NMRTC TWENTY NINE PALMS CA.
Duties
You will establish plans, controls, and supportive mechanisms to ensure quality patient administrative services.
You will ensure an ongoing comprehensive performance improvement process which monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of Patient Administration Department services and programs.
You will oversee patient administration support activities, functions and services provided to the command and authorized beneficiaries on a wide variety of administrative matters.
You will supervise and manage the processing, archiving of all outpatient and in patient medical records to ensure proper record management in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Bureau of Medicine (BUMED) directives.
You will serve as the Decedent Affairs Officer.
You will compile and maintain records and statistics pertaining to the Decedent Affairs Program.
You will be the command appointed inspector for inspecting remains of deceased Active Duty members.
You will be responsible for the procurement and preparation of uniforms and medals for all deceased active duty personnel.
You will liases with the responsible County Coroner on all cases involving servicemembers, dependents, or any persons expiring onboard the installation.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience applying administrative policies, regulation, and precedents applicable to the management and administration of patient administration programs.
Experience analyzing and evaluating program effectiveness, efficiency, productivity to formulate and present findings and making recommendations to management.
Experience working with Exceptional Family Member Program, Overseas Screening Program and Casualty Assistance Calls Officers (CACO) Program.
Experience establishing long-term plans, developing operating objectives and set goals to deliver quality patient administration services.
Experience communicating verbally and in writing to prepare and deliver clear and concise reports and presentations.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
