This position is in the Office of Personnel and Information Security (NNP), Office of Security and Continuity of Operations (NN) within the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) (N), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
A successful candidate in the Program Analyst (INFOSEC) position will serve as a Program Analyst for enterprise-wide analytic initiatives related to information protection and information security program implementation and performance.

As a Program Analyst (INFOSEC), you will:
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

- Suitable for Federal employment, as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- This position does not support remote work. You will be required to report physically to the official reporting worksite as specified by the supervisor, but no less than 3 days per pay period.
- This position has been designated as Critical-Sensitive High Risk and requires a security clearance at the DOE "Q" level; the incumbent will be required to access, process, use, and safeguard classified information.
- The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain this clearance level; failure to do so may result in separation from federal service.
- This position requires an initial drug test prior to appointment and random drug or drug and alcohol testing thereafter.
- Failure to test or a positive result on random drug or drug and alcohol tests conducted after appointment may result in removal from Federal employment.
- Incumbent shall obtain and maintain a certification in classified matter protection and control (CMPC).
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Applying and adapting analytical techniques and evaluative methods to 1) determine compliance with established rules and regulations related to information security or information protection programs and processes, and 2) use a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess and recommend improvements to information security programs or systems.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
