About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Morale, Welfare, and Recreation, Soldier and Family Readiness Branch, Fort Carson, CO. This position is for a Supply Technician whose work will be focused on Hand Receipt Management, Supply Management, aand Equipment and Maintenance Management arena.
Duties
Use an automated accounting system to establish and maintain property control records and accountability for owned property.
Prepare hand receipt documentation in accordance with governing regulations to ensure that equipment is only released to authorized responsible persons.
Coordinate equipment pick-up and delivery with warehouse and supported customers.
Prepare monthly report of surplus on managed hand receipts, items declared surplus, and items redistributed.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must undergo and pass annual medical exams of physical, emotional, and mental stability.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 35 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) utilizing an automated accounting system to establish and maintain property control records and accountability for property (2) managing a database containing all accountable equipment to verify information on receipts and requisitions (3) processing purchase orders and issuing payment with a purchase card. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
