This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
You will serve as a Lead IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Corporate Operations Department, ACIO/Information Technology Division, IT Operations Branch (Code DN1041) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, Dam Neck Activity (NSWCDD DNA).
Duties
You will serve as the lead administrator and subject matter expert for the C104 Virtual Computing Environment System.
You will represent Code 104 as the subject matter expert for collaborative efforts and tasking with external business partners and other Warfare Center Divisions.
You will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security policies.
You will provide subject matter expertise in the design, development and management of IT security systems that meet current and future business requirements.
You will lead IT systems development projects from design to support.
You will evaluate the effectiveness of installed systems and services; and provide expert feedback and recommendations on devising solutions.
You will provide subject matter expert support in the development and present plans for integrating new server technology into existing architecture.
You will identify and facilitate in the planning and coordination of the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrade of enterprise management software and related enterprise-level changes to the systems infrastructure.
You will design and Implement Information Security policies and technical capabilities to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
You will design, implement, and maintain a Virtual Computing enterprise environment.
You will research, engineer and manage sustainment of new technologies.
Requirements

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 451 (System Administration), proficiency level Intermediate. The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 pay band (GS-11 and GS-12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying Information Technology (IT) security principles to monitor and evaluate systems compliance with cybersecurity requirements. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
