Serve as Information Technology INFOSEC supporting the Cyber Manager with risk management, security and contingency planning programs under the Enterprise Chief Information Security Office. The incumbent will develop Cyber Compliance Risk Managment process flows, guidance, and procedures for various cybersecurity programs including Authorization and Assessment program enterprise wide IAW DoD regulation. Manage the Certificate of Networthiness/Approved Products List Program or equivalent.
Duties
As a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Ensure the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all systems/networks/enclaves' services.
- Establish and maintaining partnerships in Federal Government, Industry, and Academia to stay abreast of emerging technologies and process improvement methods.
- Keep management informed regarding the status of all on-going efforts.
- Interact with stakeholders, program managers, and professionals on cybersecurity concerns/updates/proposals of varies information technologies.

- The incumbent must possess an appropriate and current IA/Cyber Code certification, acquire an appropriate IA/Cyber Code certification within nine months of appointment to this position

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG -12 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Manages and coordinates development of IT Cybersecurity Systems information processing standards. Monitors systems security, network security, communications risk analysis, security profiles, network audits, software product evaluations, secure network servers, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, virus protection, DNS security, backbone security, information assurance vulnerability assessments, and operating systems.
