About the Position: This position is loacted with the 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Transportation Division, Movements Branch in Fort Belvoir, VA
Duties
Provides technical advice and assistance to the Commercial Travel Office (CTO), dependents, individuals, and groups.
Responsible for the coordination of travel requests for various Fort Belvoir units and all reserve components within Fort Belvoir.
Arranges travel services and provides guidance on entitlements and documentation requirements for individuals traveling OCONUS on official orders.
Maintains knowledge of and utilizes automated systems peculiar to the movement of personnel such as Sabre System, GATES Global Automated Transportation Execution System (GATES) and group travel passenger travel (GOPAX)
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the indument to possess or obtain and maintain a Tier 1 (NACI) security clearance.
- This position may require the incumbent to travel (TDY) up to 5% of the time .

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience which inlcudes:1) utilizing an automated system peculiar to the movement of personnel, 2) arranging travel requests for various locations in accordance with regulations, 3) providing assistance to the Commercial Travel Office and 4) reviewing travel orders for funding. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Successful completion of at least a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited college or university. Major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.).

Combination of Education and Experience: If you have some, but not all, of the experience or education described above, you may still qualify by combining the amount of creditable experience and education that you possess. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education in excess of 18 hours (total semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
