About the Position: Serve as a Division Chief or senior manager leading and managing assigned area through a group of professional, technical, and support personnel engaged in implementing logistics policies, processes, and programs for major, highly complex weapon or information systems acquisition in the areas of Logistics Support.

Duties

Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties and provides technical oversight. Develops milestones. Ensures compliance with policies and recommends policy changes to fit requirements of new systems. Defines problems, develops recommendations for issues and resolutions of issues to be addressed. Ensures coordination and/or participation in planning of all concerned functional elements. Provides high level managers and military planners background information, planning rationales, and alternatives.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance.
  • The incumbent of this position will be required to complete and file a Financial Disclosure Statement (OGE-450).
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Selectee must execute a written tenure agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.
