About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Human Resources, Military Personnel Division, Fort Liberty, NC.
Duties
Develop routine documents such as reports, correspondence, forms, and memorandums associated with Permanent Change of Station (PCS)/Extended Temporary Duty (TDY)/Field Duty Travel orders using office automation equipment and software.
Provide information concerning passport and visa requirements and process applications for official passports and No-Fee dependents and visas in accordance with Passport Agents Reference Guides (PARG).
Maintain control and/or accountability of no-fee passports issued to assigned personnel and update Visa/Passport Automated System (VPAS) tracking all applications submitted to Department of State.
Prepare Permanent Change of Station (PCS) and Extended Temporary Duty (TDY)/Field Duty Travel orders and ensure that they are complete and accurate.
Maintain tracking systems to monitor military personnel actions.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing customer service and processing a variety of personnel actions that include forms/documentation associated with passports, visas, travel entitlements/eligibilities, and/or travel orders; maintaining personnel records/actions to ensure changes reflect in supporting systems; and utilizing automated personnel software/systems supporting personnel functions and operations such as preparing reports, correspondence, forms, documents and/or data entry. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
AND
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
