You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Integrated Logistics Support Division of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.
Duties
You will be responsible for monitoring the local Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) program of each ship undergoing overhaul or new construction at Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII).
You will coordinate actions required to provide for the periodic review of integrated logistics support planning, the allowance development function, and the outfitting/fitting of Navy ships being constructed and overhauled.
You will administer the freight traffic program for HII, ensuring that efficient and economical transportation methods are utilized and that transportation policies are maintained.
You will ensure the preparation, distribution, and maintenance of Coordinated Shipboard Allowance List (COSAL) and COSAL modifications.
You will ensure contractor compliance to all contract requirements regarding the reporting, maintenance, and control of government property in order to mitigate the risk of loss or damage to government assets.
You will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, coordinating, and controlling all ILS tasks, planning, financial, contracts, manpower, materials, facilities, for the Industrial Support Department, Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHINN) ILS Division.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications
You must have one year of specialized Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the broad range of integrated logistics support principles, planning, procedures, techniques, and practices followed in new ship construction and repair to include Navy Ship Material Management, post shakedown availabilities, freight traffic, ship restricted availabilities, Dry Dock ship restricted availabilities and Refuel overhauling. Specific work experience must demonstrate the following duties: 1) Apply analytical and evaluative techniques to issues and studies involved in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of ship logistics program operations; 2) Demonstrate knowledge of Navy Supply System regulations and procedures, including Navy integrated logistics principles, concepts, regulations, policies, and relevant precedent decisions to recognize, analyze, and solve difficult logistics problems and make recommendations; 3) Utilize knowledge of the relationship of shipbuilding Material Management processes to planning, material procurement, fiscal considerations, and specialized activities associated with logistics such as configuration, transportation, planning, storage, cataloging, maintenance, property disposal, property administration, and material expediting to manage ILS processes; 4) Supervisory experience indicating the ability to plan and organize work, work independently, make sound decisions, review data, understand complex problems, render conclusions and judgements, in addition to the ability to work with others and manage, as well as deal effectively with Contractor; 5) Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing with managers, contractors, and employees at all levels to negotiate change, resolve differences and problems, etc.
