You will serve as the Deputy Human Resources Director (DHRD) of the Civilian Human Resources Office-Southeast Albany (CHRO-SE) and share full responsibility for the direction, development, planning, coordination and administration of Human Resources (HR) management programs and issues for all the serviced Commands/activities.
Duties
You will assist the Director in providing advice and assistance to the Commanders/Commanding Officers, Officers, managers and supervisors at serviced activities on the full range of HR services in a regionalized service environment.
You will assist in coordinating and directing the CHRO-SE staff in highly specialized functions of HR management.
You will evaluate, through subordinates, all personnel programs and functions to ensure optimum effectiveness, to include developing techniques to facilitate HR management and improving services to higher levels of management.
You will participate in the development of Command personnel policies, methods and procedures.
You will serve on policy boards, Commander's/Commanding Officer's staff conferences, groups or committees and represents the CHRO-SE and the activity with high-ranking officials both within and outside the Commands.
You will coordinate HR Personnel Program plans and operations with staff functions of the Commands including organization, manpower and position management, financial management, industrial medical program, safety program, security, etc.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector executing, directing, or managing the delivery of civilian federal human resources (HR) services involving one or more of the following functions: staffing and recruitment, position classification, compensation, labor relations, employee relations, oversight of automated personnel information systems, or employee development; ensuring compliance with governing laws and regulations; developing, interpreting, or advising senior management on human resource policies and administration; or providing input for the strategic planning of human capital resources for an organization.
