About the Position: This is a Project Scheduler, GS-0301-11 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division, Fort Worth District, Programs and Project Management Division. This position is full-time and permanent.
Duties
Performs duties in support of project management, control, coordination and execution of assigned projects.
Establishes a project task listing required to accomplish execution of the project within cost and time limitations.
Assists the Project Manager to create and maintain the Project Management Plan for the project that shows the scope, baseline schedule and cost for each activity needed to deliver the completed project to the local sponsor.
Prepares a wide variety of project management reports for upward reporting, monthly project status reviews with customers, monthly Project Review Board briefings, Command Management Review data validation, and other project data calls as required.
Meets and coordinates with the Project Manager, the Project Delivery Team and the Local Sponsor to collect and disseminate information about the project schedule and project issues needing resolution.
Develops, prepares, and presents reports, briefings, summaries and fact sheets obtained from other District elements and local sponsors.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes experience with at least 2 of the 3 following duties: 1) applying analytical techniques to develop and manage a large portfolio of project schedules and budgets for studies, engineering and design, or construction projects in accordance with standard business processes; OR 2) using an automated project management system for network scheduling; OR 3) applying scheduling techniques and methodologies such as Critical Path Method or Earned Value Method for assigned projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
