This position is located in DHS/U.S. Coast Guard, DCMS, CG-1K, Health Safety & Work-Life Service Center, Medical Admin Division, in Norfolk, VA.
Duties
he position is assigned to the Health Safety and Work-life Service Center, Medical Administration Division, detached duty Norfolk, VA. Incumbent serves as the Senior Health System Analyst for the Division. Assists the Division Chief in the day-to-day administration of mandated program impact studies, analyses, audits, the running and deployment of healthcare information technology systems that impact the delivery of health care services to support Coast Guard operational missions world-wide.

- This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
- This position may require a one-year probationary period.
Qualifications
At the GS-12 level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal service.
Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include: Experience developing/providing training to others. Reviewing and processing incoming applications. Applying laws, regulations and organizational policies (CFRs, COMDINST, and SOPs) to their work. Reviewing documents for completeness in accordance with their work.
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
