About the Position: Serves as the garrison Administrative Services Division Chief. Administers the program, which includes Records Management, Mail and Distribution, Army Correspondence, Freedom of Information and Privacy Act, Office Symbols, Printing and Publishing, and other management information services located on JBLM, WA.
Duties
Serve as a program manager for assigned Installation Management program elements.
Develop and manage short and long range planning for the garrison.
Conduct studies to improve records management or publishing techniques and procedures. Utilizes knowledge and experience in assigned Installation Management program elements to evaluate proposals to improve techniques and procedures.
Maintain knowledge of current developments and technologies, which may serve to improve management and administrative processes in, assigned information management program elements.
Conduct training sessions, briefings, conferences (or participates in conferences) and workshops for supervisory personnel.
Manage the installation Official Mail Program and the Official Mail and Distribution Center
Supervise the daily operation of the installation Administrative Services Division including, Official Mail and Distribution Center, records management, and Freedom of Information Act/Congressional office.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing and/or implementing policies and procedures to ensure an effective and efficient Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Joint Base Garrison management information program.; identifying resources (i.e. staff, funding, equipment) required to support different levels of program operations; advising management on organizational productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and resource utilization..
