About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US Army NETCOM Headquarters ACOFS, G2 Intelligence, Intelligence Division located at Fort Huachuca, AZ.

Duties

Conduct Information Security reviews to ensure compliance with AR 380-5. Provide advice and guidance on storage requirements, classified document markings, destruction, transportation, and other Information Security regulatory requirements. Provide guidance to Subject-Matter-Experts (SME)/document preparer in identification and use of proper Security Classification Guides (SCG), Army Regulations, and source documents. Provide guidance to staff action officers or principles in resolving classification determination. Implement procedures for in/out-processing of personnel, including clearance verification and VAR submissions. Provide input to personnel security policy revisions and in/out-processing procedures. Responsible for managing pay pool identifiers for employees command wide. Monitor mandatory training for personnel and serve as Training Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.

Closely Related constitutes a degree which has educated the student in pertinent, specific position-related subject matter allowing the student to develop knowledge and abilities directly applicable to the position being filled such as National Security Studies, Political Science, International Relations/Foreign Affairs, Geography, Security Management/Administrations, Criminal Justice, Psychology, History, or Law.
