About the Position: Serves as Inspector General for 4th Infantry Division located at Fort Carson, Colorado.

Duties

Produce technical written information using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling to communicate in an organized manner on all aspects of the Inspectors General Office. Give clear oral presentations to effectively express information to individuals or groups. Interpret facts against applicable standards to enable further investigative, compliance, enforcement, and inspection activities. Serve as primary assistant to the Inspector General for inspections and follow up actions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The incumbent in this position is required to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI access.
  • This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R or a memorandum of understanding (MOU).
  • Incumbent must successfully complete the Inspector General Course, TIG-U within 90 days of employment, and refresher training conducted every three years IAW AR-20-1.
  • Incumbent must take the Inspector General’s oath of office. Incumbent must maintain IG confidentiality of cases and/or clients on and off duty IAW AR-20-1. Incumbent must not have a substantiated allegation in the IG data base.
