About the Position: Conducts or leads enterprise architecture efforts for broad and complex Army enterprise systems that support a wide range of functions, organizations, and processes. Work involves a wide range of IT management activities that typically extend and apply to an entire organization or major components of an organization.
Duties
Serve as technical expert and representative in the area of enterprise systems and enterprise architecture on matters related to new IT/software concepts and other plans of significant impact and importance.
Formulate, plan, implement, manage, track, and evaluate large scale and extremely complex IT enterprise architecture projects and their associated requirements and risks.
Conduct or lead enterprise architecture efforts for broad and complex Army enterprise systems that support a wide range of functions, organizations, and processes.
Lead and coordinate the efforts of other IT Specialists and contractors in solving complex and far-reaching enterprise architecture issues and problems for a wide range of systems, applications, and customers.
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Special Sensitive, Top Secret with SCI security clearance for the duration
of employment.

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.

Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR): Have IT-related experience that demonstrates each of the following four competencies:

One year of specialized experience which includes: 1.) Developing long-range plans to externally-driven requirements; 2) Evaluating complex solutions to the design enterprise resource planning systems to meet emerging requirements; 3) Providing technical advice for senior leader decisions on a major acquisition program; 4) Analyzing IT enterprise structural framework to align enterprise systems;5) Implementing new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations; and 6) Formulating large scale IT enterprise architecture projects to meet requirements and risks. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13).

This is a DoD Demonstration Project position. Under the Defense Authorization Act, personnel management demonstration programs are operating in numerous Army activities and various other organizations supported by Army civilian personnel centers. Under the streamlined personnel operations for the demonstration projects, the familiar 15 General Schedule grade structure is replaced with broad pay bands that typically encompass a range of grades. For example, acquisition jobs in level NH-IV of broad banding encompass the traditional GS-14 through GS-15 grades. Other initiatives under the demonstration projects include simplified job classification, streamlined hiring processes, and expanded developmental opportunities.
This is a High-Level NH-04 in the AcqDemo Pay banding scale. The NH pay band covers grades 14/15 on the GS scale. This position is subject to a salary control point equivalent to GS -14 step 10- $ 191,900. If the incumbent's salary currently exceeds the stated salary control point, the incumbent's salary control point will be set at the incumbent's existing base salary with the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD Locality Pay
