This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This IT Specialist position is assigned to the Program Executive Office Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors, supporting Product Lead Multi-Domain Sensing System (MDSS) at Project Director Sensors - Aerial Intelligence, located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Duties
Provide technical support to program management, in methods policies, procedures, support requirements, information engineering, and specifications for assigned systems.
Prepare system charts to include a complete cost benefit analysis.
Maintain the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) for assigned programs.
Analyze systems/projects using state of the art technologies to accomplish specific functions to meet stated requirements.
Assist with developing long range goals, objectives, and work plans.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One-year trrial period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level Foundational in the Acquisition Career Engineer and Technical Management Field within 36 months of entrance on duty.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 15% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This is a TERM position intended to last for 2 YEARS.

AND In addition to the competencies:
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-01/GS-04) in the Federal Service which includes experience in: 1) Applying analytical processes to the planning, and designing of new and improved information systems to meet business requirements of the organizations; 2) Assists in determining integration, and requirements for IT systems; and 3) Assisting with preparing presentation and briefing leadership on system documentation to assist managers and users.
