Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.

Duties

Serves as the EFMP Training, Education and Outreach (TEO) Specialist to deliver and coordinate training and education, and develop the EFMP outreach program plan. Work includes delivering and coordinating training for EFMP staff, Marines and their families and coordinating marketing to promote awareness, education and provide resources for the Exceptional Family Member Program. Links eligible family members and their families with a variety of support services and resources at the command. Seeks out eligible members using an outreach concept and approach that fosters self-reliance and a sense of belonging. Ensures emphasis on positive customer experience for enrolled families and acts as the primary point of contact for resources and referral for Marines and families seeking assistance.

Qualifications

Four years of specialized experience (education in a related field may be substituted for experience) that demonstrates skill to serve as a Training, Education and Outreach Specialist to develop and maintain the EFMP Outreach Program Plan which includes coordinating awareness, education and resources, and linking eligible exceptional family members and their families with a variety of support services and resources at the command.  Skill to conduct needs assessments, interviews, presentations, training sessions and coordinate resources.  Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing; ability to develop quality training; ability to maintain effective communication and working relationships with all levels of employees and command, both inside and outside the organization; knowledge of military structure and protocol; ability to exercise initiative in resolving problems, rendering decisions, and carrying out revisions to plans; ability to supervise, facilitate, run meetings, and to take charge and direct an event when necessary; ability to analyze data and present logical conclusions and recommendations; ability to utilize word processing and desktop publishing software.ASSESMENT QUESTIONS MUST BE ANSWERED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE RECRUITMENT.  THEY MAY BE ADDED TO THE END OF YOUR RESUME.1.  Describe your knowledge of the Marine Corps culture and ethos, rank structure, directive system and local chain of command.2.  Describe your knowledge of MCCS and explain why its mission is important to the Marines, Sailors and their families.3.  Describe the quality-of-life programs you are familiar with that MCCS provides to the Marines, Sailors and their families.4.  Describe work or related experiences that demonstrate your ability to communicate orally and in writing with a diverse group of individuals.5.  Describe work or related experiences that demonstrate your ability to coordinate programs and services for special needs populations.6.  Describe work or related experiences that demonstrate your knowledge of community/governmental resources for special needs families.
