You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Comptroller Department of PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will be providing information about, and interpreting standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations.
You will be researching guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and preparing summaries for use by managers.
You will be performing specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting, and interpretive functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds.
You will be tracking and controlling funds for special programs, analytical or program work pertaining to payroll, cash control, or benefit systems.
You will also be performing a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities.
You will assist in the performance of functions such as: formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Qualifications for GS-11
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: compiling, analyzing and summarizing financial and/or budgetary information to resolve financial management and audit readiness issues in compliance with program goals, applicable policies, regulations, and procedures for a financial management program.
Qualifications for GS-09
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing financial systems in conducting searches of budget and financial records to provide factual data in processing of budgetary actions, accounting, or financial administrative procedures for a financial management program.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
For the GS-09: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of a LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
