This position is located in the Division of Administration, Corporate Services Branch, Enterprise Information & Records Management Section, Information Services Unit of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and supports a vendor-operated contact center and information dissemination. Additional selections may be made from this vacancy announcement to fill identical vacancies that occur subsequent to this announcement.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.  Additional qualifications information can be found here. To qualify for the CG-11, must meet one of the following: 1) BY EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 9 level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience maintaining contact center operations by monitoring system performance, identifying anomalies and responding to inquiries. OR 2) BY EDUCATION: Applicant must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree  or LLM (if related) or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education in a related field of study that demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities to do the work. All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited institutions. OR 3) BY COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess a COMBINATION of graduate level education as described above, beyond the 2nd full year of graduate level education and specialized experience as describe above that together meet the qualification requirements for this position. To qualify for the CG-12:  Applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 11 level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience maintaining contact center operations by monitoring system performance, identifying and resolving anomalies and responding to inquiries and preparing action plans.  Applicants eligible for ICTAP (Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program) must achieve a score of 80 or higher in the online assessment to be determined “well qualified” for this position.
