Duties
You will assist in the performance of functions such as: formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
You will perform studies or assists others with full scale studies.
You will provide information about, and interprets standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations.
You will research, guide to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepares summaries for use by managers.
You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting, and interpretive functions associated with the management.
You will control resources or funds; tracking and control of funds for special programs; analytical or program work pertaining to payroll, cash control, or benefit systems.
You will perform a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities may also be performed by incumbents of this position.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting in performing financial analysis by utilizing automated financial systems to monitor transactions and funding documents; AND applying a wide range of standard practices and procedures to phases of an annual budget and/or financial administrative processes.
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting in performing financial analysis by utilizing automated financial systems to monitor transactions and funding documents.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
GS-07:
1 full year of graduate level education
OR
Superior academic achievement
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
